Wine Flavor 101 Seminars March 16 & 17 at UC-D. Day 1 focuses on yeast flavor contributions, while Day 2 looks at the flavors that come from the grapes. Looks like a lot of good information.
We are going to have a very informal meeting Jan 20, 2010 at 2pm at MacRostie Winery in the town of Sonoma.
The topic will be Vit experiments. I am going to present a minor experiment we did and I have lined up an outside vineyard manager to discuss experiments he is involved in. There could be a couple extra presenters; however, I have not received confirmation from them. In addition, if you would like to present anything, please let me know- that would be awes
The Gap's Crown Vineyard, located in the Petaluma Gap of the Sonoma Coast AVA, has quickly risen to be one of the most sought after pinot noir and chardonnay vineyards in this new and evolving sub-appellation. Listen and discuss with the vineyard's farming team the challenges and rewards of farming a very cool, unique site. Following the tour will be a tasting of a selection of highly allocated wines made from Gap's Crown.
Directions and a carpooling option will be posted at the begining of March.
Please RSVP and specify if you would like to carpool.

Susan Doyle has shared the results of the survey on empty barrel maintenance practices that CERA was asked to participate in. The results are attached for your review. See anything interesting? Talk about it in the FORUMS.
